Our Programs

We know your children mean everything to you and Timeout is committed to ensuring your child begins their learning development with the brightest possible start. We provide a program based upon the The National Early Years Framework which ensures that each child finds identity, belonging, meaning and well-being in themselves, the natural environment and the world around them.

We provide care that is shaped around each individual child, as no two children are the same our routines continuously evolve in response to the child’s changing needs. We offer children the freedom to learn through discovery and play whilst encouraging them to learn at their own pace while providing a learning environment with the daily routines and comfort of home. Children can visit our local community garden where our Apple Tree encourages the children to become inquisitive about the world around them, building confidence to ask questions, have fun while they learn and have free playtime to learn social skills.

Working together with our parents and educators, our focus is to create a routine that fosters a nurturing and responsive environment where children are happy, safe and supported. We promote an understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds, whilst encouraging their individual sense of identity and ambition to succeed.

Our kindergarten program offers all the vital transitions to ensure all children beginning their learning development build a sense of confidence when moving to the next stage of their education.

Building strong partnerships with our families is something we work hard to achieve. Working in consultation with the parents who know their children best with the support of our Educators, we can ensure we provide constant feedback on each child’s progression throughout the year while discussing child development and progressive milestones at our parent/educator interviews.

Nutrition

Nutrition plays a vital role in every child’s development. Studies show that a child’s most important stage of nutritional development is between the age of 0 to 6 years old. By the time they reach primary school, most children have already formed lifelong eating habits mainly influenced from what they eat at home. As parents, it is our responsibility to guide them towards proper eating patterns, helping them promote a strong and healthy lifestyle. Our children are taught the importance of where food comes from by growing and picking their own vegetables in our hobby garden.

Our seasonal menus are specifically developed by our qualified resident Chef, Frank Sculli. All meals are prepared fresh daily in our centre’s own kitchen. Our dishes are appetising and nutritious and incorporate ingredients from all the food groups taking into account the cultural backgrounds and special dietary needs of all children. All meals are cooked from scratch using fresh produce and served with the chef’s own bread, dips and sauces.

A healthy selection of snacks and refreshments are available throughout the day and we encourage the children to develop their self-help and organizational skills by bringing their used bowls to the wash area for cleaning.

Our daily meal times are: Breakfast, Morning tea, Lunch, Afternoon tea.
